St Ignatius, founder of the Jesuits, encouraged his followers to spend a little time each day looking for the ways that God showed up for them. Jesuits call this practicing the daily “Examen.” Richard Rohr takes this a bit further and reminds us that God is always present; it’s just that we get lost. A lot. (I added the “a lot” part).
